The album marks the band’s first on XL, following their departure from Partisan Records features 11 tracks and continues their rise, with critics praising its sonic ambition and emotional depth. Romance earned two Grammy nominations: for Best Rock Album and Best Alternative Music Performance (for Starburster) and debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart.
